The first issue, reported May 21, 2026, allows synthetic clicks to trigger nine hardcoded workflows on claude.ai because the extension does not check Event.isTrusted, enabling actions like reading #Gmail, opening #GoogleDocs, checking #GoogleCalendar, and modifying #Salesforce leads, with severity rising from CVSS 7.7 to 9.6 if automatic execution is enabled. Manifold claims the vulnerable handlers stayed unchanged across eight releases (1.0.73 to 1.0.80) and that a fix could be as small as adding an isTrusted verification. The second issue centers on a side-panel URL parameter, skipPermissions=true, which can cause the panel to bypass permission prompts and enter a privileged mode, even though #Anthropic argues it is only constructed by internal scheduled-task systems and labeled the finding informational. Manifold counters that the bypass remains simple JavaScript, the relevant code was byte-identical across releases, and the behavior was reproducible across Claude side-panel model selections including Opus, Sonnet, and Fable.
