After learning this, officials said they directed the Littleton Electric Light Department to shut off power at the breakers, confirmed the shutdown, and then ordered town counsel to cancel the contract and staff to coordinate removal of all six cameras from public ways. The cameras had been deactivated May 12 so the Select Board and staff could review the technology, system features, and policy considerations before future decisions. Requests for comment to the town administrator’s office, Wilson, and #FlockSafety were not immediately returned, and Police Chief Douglas Landry declined to comment, calling removal a town decision.
